BRASA Notre Dame
Director of professional events

BRASA career connection event
I have been involved with BRASA Notre Dame throughout my entire time at the university, growing from an intern into the club’s Professional Events Director. What began as a way to stay connected to the Brazilian community on campus became one of my main leadership commitments at Notre Dame. Over the years, I have taken on increasing responsibility for professional programming, partnerships, and large-scale events that connect Brazilian students with alumni, companies, faculty, and the wider Notre Dame community.
My largest initiative has been co-leading the organization of the inaugural ND Brazil Forum, a multi-day event designed to bring together different generations of Notre Dame’s Brazilian community. The event includes professional panels, networking, social events, a Brazilian tailgate, and community programming. Planning it has required me to manage scheduling, budgeting, venue coordination, transportation, merchandise, sponsorships, speaker outreach, and university approvals while working with BRASA, the Brazil Club, the ND Alumni Club of Brazil, faculty, Campus Ministry, and university departments.
As Professional Events Director, I have also helped develop Notre Dame’s first career fair focused on Brazilian students. I have reached out to companies such as Embraer, EY, BTG Pactual, and other employers to create opportunities for students interested in careers in Brazil and the United States. I have also helped recruit senior business leaders, alumni, and professionals for panels on engineering, finance, leadership, global affairs, and career development.
My progression within BRASA has taught me how to lead projects that involve many people, priorities, and constraints. I have learned to break large goals into smaller tasks, communicate across different teams, manage budgets and timelines, and adapt when plans change. Moving from intern to Professional Events Director has been one of the clearest examples of my growth at Notre Dame and has shown me how much impact strong organization, communication, and leadership can have on a community.
